CUB SCOUTS PACK 137

HAZLET, NJ

Serving Bayshore Area

Boys & Girls K-5

WHAT IS CUB SCOUTS?

Cub Scouting is part of the worldwide Scouting movement serving boys and girls in grades K-5.  Cub Scouting's goals are to promote character development, citizenship, fitness, team building, leadership, love of the outdoors and personal achievement.  We accomplish these goals through outdoor adventures and individual and group activities.

Now, our Cub Scouts don’t really care about all of that, they just want to HAVE FUN!!! That is what Cub Scouting is to them!  And they gain lifelong friends and family memories while doing it!

Best of all Cub Scouting is oriented around the family.  You will get to actively participate as you see your children grow.  This is a family program and as such siblings and grandparents are welcome!

Cub Scouts work towards earning Belt Loops that are specific to their age group, these Belt Loops collectively are needed to earn their Rank.  Advancement refers to the progress a Cub Scout makes towards earning their Rank.  The Den Leaders organize the Den around meeting the requirements for Rank Advancement.

You can view and share our Pack 137 Recruitment Flyer - Available in Both English and Spanish.

ABOUT CUB SCOUTS PACK 137

Cub Scout Pack 137 has been serving Bayshore area youth for over 60 years.  We are proudly sponsored by the North Centerville Volunteer Fire Company.  Our program is open to both girls and boys in grades K-5.  Youth are grouped by grade, in a unit called a Den. The Den is led by a Den Leader and often an Assistant Den Leader.  All registered volunteers have to go through comprehensive Youth Protection Training and background check.  Parent supervision is required and participation is encouraged.

Dens meet weekly or bi-weekly, as determined by the Den Leader, and work together to learn new skills and earn various awards and rank badges.  The Dens make up the Pack.  Pack 137 has a Cubmaster, Committee Chair and Committee.  The Pack serves as the coordinating unit for the Dens, providing direction, support and resources to them.  There is one Pack meeting each month where all the Dens come together to receive their badges, belt loops or pins along with a fun activity.
